Roger Stüssi : Vorstadt 14 Building

Flodeau.com :: Vorstadt 14 Building by Roger Stussi - 026I love the intimacy, cosiness and minimalism of this attic bedroom.

Hi everyone, I’ve been in NYC for the past 10 days, hence the lack of activity on the blog lately… Today, New York freezing-cold weather inspires me to show you this project in Zug, a city located in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Vorstadt 14 is a medieval building that has been entirely remodeled by interior designer Roger Stüssi.

Preserving the historical features of the house like the bare stone walls and the wooden beams structure, the designer successfully manage to create a contemporary and minimalist interior featuring the use of modern materials like black steel and concrete. The furnishing is an eclectic mix of styles and eras, ranging from 20th century design pieces to rustic furniture. Elevated on 4 floors, the house is divided into a private apartment, a business apartment (white floor) and an art space on the ground floor.

If you’re interested in seeing more of Roger Stüssi’s work, have a look at these two other projects I published in the past – the Bitterli House and Loft Soius.

Speak soon, Flo xo
