Italian designer Davide G. Aquini has sent just me his super fun Memphis-inspired table lamp collection called The Macarons Postmodern.
“I decided to pay an homage to this movement because I love the colors and patterns of this style, moreover now we are in a revival of the 80s and Memphis is the incarnation of the Italian 80s mood,” says Davide.
Inspired by the abstract patterns of the Memphis movement and famous French pastry, the macaron, the lamp is composed of an American tulipwood base topped with an eccentric lampshade, styled with geometrical textures and bright colors.
The Macarons Postmodern come in a limited edition of four “tasty” designs – Jungle Green, Dots and Stripes, Pink and Blue, Orange and Black.
You may shop them here!
How it’s made? The Macarons Table Lamp is 100% produced in Italy by IN by Progetti in Luce. The base is made of American tulipwood and it is lathed in a workshop near Padua (Italy). The lampshades are custom printed and assembled by hand in a workshop near Treviso (Italy).
