Davide G. Aquini : The Macarons Postmodern

The Macarons Postmodern table lamp by Davide G. Aquini | Flodeau.comItalian designer Davide G. Aquini has sent just me his super fun Memphis-inspired table lamp collection called The Macarons Postmodern.

“I decided to pay an homage to this movement because I love the colors and patterns of this style, moreover now we are in a revival of the 80s and Memphis is the incarnation of the Italian 80s mood,” says Davide.

Inspired by the abstract patterns of the Memphis movement and famous French pastry, the macaron, the lamp is composed of an American tulipwood base topped with an eccentric lampshade, styled with geometrical textures and bright colors.

The Macarons Postmodern come in a limited edition of four “tasty” designs – Jungle Green, Dots and Stripes, Pink and Blue, Orange and Black.
