For those of you out there – including me – whose plants are too often forgotten nearly dying of drought and then saved at the very last minute…
Dutch Studio Laurier is coming to our plants’ rescue with the Natural Balance, the ultimate self-watering flowerpot. It contains a water reservoir, that feeds the plant gradually throughout the weeks. When the reservoir is empty, the pot tips over, to let you know that a refill is needed. The flowerpot returns to its upright position when the reservoir is refilled.
From the designers – The pot and the reservoir are divided by a water-permeable part, made from earthenware. This slowly transfer the water into the soil and let is last for up to 28 days, depending on the plant. To fit any plant with different weight and shape, the pivoting point is adjustable by a magnetic slider.
Studio Lorier designed it as an easy to use and analog solution that does not rely any apps or electronics. The Natural Balance is designed for people who are tired of watering plants on a daily basis, don’t know how much water a plant needs. Even let the plant survive any long vacation.
All the parts from the Natural Balance are carefully handcrafted by Studio Lorier, based in the Netherlands. Available in Cool Grey, Mint Green, and Pastel Pink.
This project is currently live on Kickstarter.
