Spotted at Matter store, BB x HH lightings are new collaborative pieces imagined by Brooklyn-based designer Bec Brittain and Swedish-born and London-based designer Hilda Hellstrom.

About – Bec Brittain and Hilda Hellstrom present an exciting collaboration entitled BBxHH. This project was born out of an appreciation for each other’s contrasting but complementary methods of working. Ms. Hellstrom’s practice is very hands on, embracing the natural variance in her process and materials, resulting in each piece being unique. She works volumetrically, building up forms with her signature use of acrylic-based plaster, Jesmonite. Ms. Brittain, in contrast, works with more engineered precision. She designs intricate pieces for manufacture that she considers her “kit of parts”. Her approach begins with line. It is these differing approaches which gives opportunity for these new and very exciting collaborative pieces.
