This week at the Salone del Mobile 2012 in Milan, French company La Chance is launching Jekyll & Hyde, its first furniture and lighting collection created by 10 of the hottest young designers around the world ! The designers include Pierre Favresse, Bashko Trybek, Suzanne de Graef, Luca Nichetto, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Charles Kalpakian, Note Design Studio, Francois Dumas, Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova, Pool Design and Jonah Takagi.
About : The products of La Chance share a sophisticated, rich, and distinctive design based on noble materials (metal, marble, solid wood, glass). It is a return to a warm and uninhibited luxury, breaking away from cold and conceptual design. We see two potential audiences for luxury furniture, there are the design enthusiasts, who want uncompromising pieces in bold colours. Then there are people who love contemporary design but prefer more muted tones. To accommodate these two audiences, each piece of the collection comes in two “moods”: Jekyll and Hyde.
The Jekyll version features monotone or natural materials, like brushed metal and oiled wood.

The Hide version features prime colours and shiny finishes.

A bit more about La Chance : Jean-Baptiste Souletie and Louise Breguet, two design enthusiasts, met by Chance and gave life to their crazy aspirations with a new design brand serving an ambitious purpose: epitomize their vision of French design and give a contemporary interpretation of the ornamental and decorative furniture traditions.
Each product passing through the hands of La Chance’s craftsmen is the object of special attention. All products are made in Europe in human-size facilities. La Chance has rallied the best talents of the effervescent French Nouvelle Vague, but also seeks inspiration from around the world with designers from Italy, the Netherlands, Israel, Sweden and the US.
