Minale & Minale Architects : Sodermalm Penthouse

London based architectural firm Minale & Minale Architects were commissioned to completely refurbish and decorate a dilapidated 18th century penthouse in the centre of Stockholm’s Sodermamlm district. I’ll leave you with the photographs of this very stylish and inspirational face-lift.

About : “The apartment was restored to it’s former glory, with original cornicing and wooden detailing painstakingly re-built, tiled Swedish fireplaces reinstated and stunning original oil-painted ceilings exposed and re-mastered. The oak floorboards were then rough-sawn sanded and stained dark black and the walls and woodwork given a contemporary face-lift.

All the fitted furniture in the apartment is bespoke and hand-crafted by M+M in our London workshop, to include oak and copper kitchen units, satin sprayed wardrobes and bookcases and a hardwood TV unit in the master bedroom made form American white oak. M+M sourced all the interior fittings and furniture from over-washed up-cycled turkish rugs, 50′s strand theatre lighting, antique Eames chairs and an original 70′s jukebox – transformed into a whisky bar!”
