German designer Hanna Kruse has sent me two beautiful design projects inspired by the traditional japanese art of flower arrangement called “Ikebana”.
The Soe Cup series is a simple and beautiful way to storage and present little items like jewellery, various decorative articles, or even small blossoms. The cups can be opened by turning the wire frame around which is sticked on a single point in the wall-thickness.
The Soe Cup series – Material: ceramics and steel | copper wire
The Soe Cup series – Dimensions : H 63mm D 125mm

Toko & Noma Ikebana bowls are a new interpretation of the traditional way of Ikebana flower arrangements. The flat vases with additional wire frame enable to set up single flowers and blossoms in the space of the geometric pattern.
