About : A crack detail in gold runs through the bowl and almost looks like a crack of thunder. Japanese tradition included gluing broken china together and gilding it in gold to eccentuate the imperfection. These plates and bowls points to the inevitability of nature to eventually filter into all our manmade creations despite our best efforts.
